SUMMARY:
As a key member of our organization, the Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing programs and ensuring they run smoothly, effectively and efficiently.
This position is responsible for leading, planning, directing, and coordinating of new projects/sustaining projects. This includes strong customer/supplier interface, quoting, and internal communication between all relevant teams and individuals and following standards that meets company’s level of excellence
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and manage program staff, including Project management, Purchase and logistics.
- Develop and implement program policies and procedures
- Monitor program performance and adjust as needed.
- Creates timelines, delegates task, coordinates with customers/suppliers/partners and reports progress to management. Takes appropriate action to meet key project milestone due dates.
- Handle any program-related issues or conflicts.
- Manage and oversee cost by working closely with purchasing and sales to ensure budget is on target.
- Provide project leadership and drive all aspects of product development by leading a functional team to bring conceptual design to production.
- Be the key customer contact for engineering, quality and launch teams.
- Ensure customer deliverables and program timing are met.
- Minimize project risk and inform Management appropriately .
- Conduct regular team meetings and staff training.
- Evaluate program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree.
Personal/Technical Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including strong leadership ability are required.
• Understanding of basic engineering calculations, cost analysis, and basic accounting.
• Must have strong organizational and planning skills.
• Able to work in a fast paced, multicultural work environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment to support demanding automotive customer requirements.
• Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to compile effective and concise visual reports and graphs.
• Effective time management skills.
Computer/Software:
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
