Job Title: Senior Application Developer (ColdFusion)
Job Type: 12-Month Contract
Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (Remote)
Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Application Developers to join our team and support the ongoing modernization of enterprise applications. The successful candidate(s) will play a critical role in cloud migration efforts, enterprise solution design, application development, and integration across multiple platforms. This role requires both deep technical expertise and the ability to act as a mentor and internal consultant within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the migration of existing code and applications to the cloud.
• Provide design recommendations aligned with long-term IT strategies.
• Develop enterprise-level applications and custom integrations, including major enhancements, interfaces, and new features.
• Deliver automated systems applications leveraging a variety of platforms.
• Provide subject matter expertise on application integration across the enterprise.
• Define specifications and lead the design, development, and implementation of complex, business-critical software solutions.
• Serve as an escalation point for resolving advanced support issues.
• Establish and maintain programming standards, reusable code architectures, and development best practices.
• Apply advanced programming languages, object-oriented techniques, and modern application development methodologies.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability to the organization.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Be recognized internally and externally as a technical expert across multiple disciplines.
• Serve as a mentor, advocate, and change agent within the IT organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of design and/or development experience with ColdFusion.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Oracle, and SQL Server in an N-tier architecture.
• Proven expertise in object-oriented development techniques.
• Database design and development experience with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL tuning.
• Demonstrated success as a project leader on multiple IT initiatives.
• Proven ability to function in an expert/lead technical role on complex, enterprise-level projects.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience supporting production deployments and troubleshooting deployment issues.
• Familiarity with Incident Full Kit (IFK) processes, creating user stories, and providing ROM estimates.
