Job Title:  Sr Software Engineer (Identity and Access Management)

Position Overview:  
We are looking for a Mid-to-Senior level Software Engineer to join our dedicated Identity & Access Management (IAM) team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting and evolving our customer-facing security platforms. This is a high-impact position within our Core Engineering organization, which focuses on modernizing essential services and infrastructure through DevOps and lean methodologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Development & Maintenance: Build and support new features for our customer identity platform to enhance both security and user experience.
  • System Ownership: Handle the full lifecycle of technical analysis, application configuration, and incident resolution. This includes troubleshooting complex issues and managing source code via version control.
  • Agile Collaboration: Function as an active member of an Agile squad. You will translate stakeholder requirements into technical designs, utilizing software development fundamentals to deploy high-quality code.
  • Process Optimization: Continually evaluate business procedures and system workflows to recommend architectural improvements.
  • Testing & Documentation: Partner with Business Analysts to design technical requirements, conduct thorough unit testing, and maintain detailed system documentation.
  • Support: Participate in an on-call rotation and after-hours support as necessary to ensure platform stability.

Requirements

  • Experience: 6+ years in software or application development, with a proven track record of managing complex integrations, databases, and frameworks.
  • Identity Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of IAM protocols and tools, specifically:
  • Platforms: Ping Identity or ForgeRock.
  • Standards: SAML, SSO, OIDC, and OAuth.
  • Languages: Java (and associated tools), JavaScript, and Groovy.
  • Environment: Linux, SQL, Tomcat, Containers, and Cloud computing.
  • Bonus Skills: Experience with Bash, YAML, and Web Services/APIs.
  • Workflow: Familiarity with the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Soft Skills: A self-starter who can work independently while mentoring junior team members. You should be able to grasp new technologies quickly and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
