Title: Senior Data Systems Analyst/Engineer

Type: Contract
Location: REMOTE

Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Data System Analyst/Engineer to help define a new frontier in games analytics — where game data meets real-world impact. You’ll help develop our end-to-end analytics ecosystem, shaping how we capture and transform gameplay data across mobile, web, and multiplayer experiences into insights that advance medicine. You’ll work at the intersection of genre creation, cutting-edge analytics technologies, and healthcare innovation — capturing the data that demonstrates how games can improve physician performance and patient outcomes by connecting gameplay telemetry with real-world medical data.
You’ll help to build the bridge between game developers, data systems, and decision-makers, providing key information for the building of reliable pipelines, enabling our Data Analytics team to deeply understand player behavior across both our games and our proprietary cloud gaming platform. This platform allows us to deliver games on any device—with seamless multiplayer—by running them on high-end cloud servers and streaming them to phones and web browsers.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, loves solving complex data problems, and wants to design the long-term strategy for how our studio manages its strategic games data.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze complex Games data structures and flows to identify and extract meaningful “strategic data” to be used for commercial analytics and reporting
  • Assist in analyzing, documenting and integrating Games strategic data into the enterprise data pipelines and warehouses.

  • Partner with product managers, producers, designers, and engineers to define and implement strategic data hooks in new game titles and platform features.

  • Debug and validate data flows to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness — investigating anomalies rather than taking data at face value.

  • Collaborate with leadership to define analytics strategy, ensuring we’re capturing the right signals to inform both live ops and future development.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and point of contact for all things “Games Data”

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years in high-volume data processing, management, modeling and analysis, preferably in healthcare, finance or insurance industries. Games data analysis and management a plus. Digital media (display advertising, programmatic, etc.) a plus.

  • Deep expertise with SQL (complex joins, subqueries, and optimizations on large datasets). Hands-on systems analysis and coding skills are essential.

  • Knowledge of data pipeline orchestration (Prefect, Airflow, Dagster, or similar) a plus.

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake and other cloud storage platforms — schema design, data modeling, and query performance tuning a plus.

  • Knowledge of live games analytics — funnels, segmentation, retention, and monetization analysis a huge plus.

  • Strong systems and business analysis mindset — comfortable troubleshooting pipelines and tracing data lineage end-to-end.

  • Understanding of statistics and experimental design (A/B testing, cohort analysis, regression, etc.) a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex findings into clear business recommendations.
  • A data owner, not just a data user — you care about accuracy, reproducibility, and data quality. You think in systems and pull order out of complexity.

  • Naturally curious and persistent when investigating discrepancies or unexpected results.

  • Comfortable collaborating across technical and creative teams.

  • Excited to enable the data capabilities of a growing company.
