Title: Corporate Controller
Location: Richardson, TX (4x onsite per week)

Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead and oversee all accounting operations across a complex, multi-entity organization. This individual will be responsible for financial reporting, consolidations, month-end close, compliance, internal controls, and acquisition integration activities while partnering closely with executive leadership to support continued growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a strategic accounting leader with strong technical expertise, experience managing large teams, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a large accounting organization, including managers, supervisors, and accounting staff.
  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements across multiple business entities and operating locations.
  • Deliver financial, operational, and KPI reporting to executive leadership to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee tax compliance activities and coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors.
  • Support acquisition-related accounting activities, including due diligence, purchase accounting, and integration efforts.
  • Establish, maintain, and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance processes.
  • Partner closely with Finance, FP&A, Treasury, and operational leadership to drive financial strategy and business objectives.
  • Ensure secure cash management processes and effective coordination between accounting and treasury functions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, system enhancements, and operational efficiencies across the accounting organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA required; MBA preferred.
  • Progressive accounting and finance leadership experience with a strong foundation in financial reporting and corporate accounting.
  • Experience overseeing accounting operations within a multi-entity and/or multi-location organization.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidations, intercompany accounting, and internal controls.
  • Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, business integrations, and related accounting activities.
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage large accounting teams.
  • Strong understanding of tax compliance, financial reporting, and accounting best practices.
  • Experience with ERP systems, financial reporting platforms, and business intelligence tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting and consolidation software.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on while managing competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a large-scale retail, franchise, distribution, manufacturing, dealership, or other multi-location operating environment.
  • Background supporting high-growth organizations, acquisitions, and large-scale financial integrations.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems, consolidation platforms, and management reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
