Payroll Specialist
Location: REMOTE
Contract (12 months)

Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Global Payroll Associate II to join our growing Global Payroll team supporting clients across the LATAM region. This role is ideal for an early-career professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and collaborating with stakeholders in a fast-paced international environment. As a Global Payroll Associate II, you will support the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company standards. You will work closely with internal teams, payroll partners, and clients to validate payroll data, resolve issues, and contribute to a high-quality payroll experience. This is an exciting opportunity to build expertise in global payroll operations while developing your career within a collaborative and rapidly growing organization. No prior LATAM payroll experience is required. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you develop expertise in payroll processes, compliance requirements, and country-specific regulations across the LATAM region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the accurate and timely processing of payrolls across multiple countries within the LATAM region.
  • Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, payroll partners, and clients to collect and verify payroll inputs.
  • Perform payroll audits, quality assurance checks, and variance analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist in resolving payroll-related queries and issues from clients, employees, and internal teams.
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor payroll processing timelines and support the achievement of service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Stay informed of changes in payroll legislation, tax regulations, and employment laws across assigned countries.
  • Escalate payroll risks, compliance concerns, and operational issues when appropriate.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to support successful payroll delivery.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Languages, or a related field.
  • 0–3 years of professional experience in a data-driven, operational, customer service, finance, administrative, or shared services environment.
  • Fluent Spanish language skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business productivity tools.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and develop in a fast-paced, global organization.

Preferred

  • Exposure to payroll, HR, finance, shared services, or customer operations environments.
  • Experience working with international clients or multicultural teams.
  • Portuguese language skills are an advantage.
  • Experience working with data analysis, reporting, or process-driven operations.
