Location: Atlanta, GA or Minneapolis, MN (3 days onsite)
Contract (12 months)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative professional to support and elevate our Product Owner (PO) team. This role is NOT a Product Owner position, but rather a strategic partner to the PO function—focused on improving consistency, driving best practices, and strengthening engagement across the business. The ideal candidate is highly organized, outgoing, and influential, with a passion for building alignment and enabling teams to perform at their best.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Product Owners across multiple business areas to understand workflows, challenges, and opportunities for improvement
  • Research and identify industry best practices in product ownership, agile methodologies, and team operations
  • Develop, document, and continuously refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve consistency and effectiveness across the PO team
  • Act as an internal evangelist for the Product Owner function by promoting its value and impact to stakeholders
  • Plan and deliver engaging presentations, workshops, and “lunch and learn” sessions to foster alignment and knowledge sharing
  • Create materials (playbooks, templates, guides) that enable Product Owners to work more efficiently and effectively
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication across the PO team, helping to build a strong, cohesive community of practice
  • Influence without direct authority—building trust and credibility across teams and stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in a product, project, business analysis, or operational support role
  • Strong understanding of product management and/or agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to influence and drive change without formal leadership authority
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and process development skills
  • Self-starter with a proactive, energetic, and collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile certifications highly preferred!
  • Experience supporting or working closely with Product Owners or Product Managers
  • Experience creating SOPs, playbooks, or internal enablement programs
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar collaboration platforms

Key Attributes for Success:

  • Outgoing and approachable, with a natural ability to build relationships
  • Confident and persuasive communicator
  • Curious and continuously seeking improvement opportunities
  • Comfortable operating in a matrixed environment
  • Passionate about team development and operational excellence
