Job Title: Senior iOS Mobile Engineer
Location: Onsite in Cincinnati or Tampa
Job-Type: Contract to Hire
Referral Fee: $120/month
Employment Eligibility: Gravity cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer directly (we are not open to contract or “corp to corp” agreements).
Position Overview: Gravity is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer. This person will be responsible for development of new mobile applications. Also will maintain, modify and improve existing solutions, working alongside Agile team. Will have full access to end-users, IT peers and leadership in order to deliver state-of-the-art mobile applications.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Development of new and existing iPhone/iPad native applications
- Support and manage iOS mobile applications developed in-house and outsourced
- Test and maintain various native iOS mobile applications to identify processes and development efficiencies and recommending improvements
- Document new applications or changes made to existing applications
- Frequently communicate with internal customers, end users and managers on project progress, deployment and issue resolution
- Support systems to provide continuous integration and automated testing processes
- Actively engage in conversations and meetings with prospects and customers as needed
- 75% of time will be spent on new features and 25% on maintenance
Required Experience & Skills:
- 3-5 years of iOS development experience
- Thorough understanding of RESTful architecture and deployment of distributed services
- Deep expertise with mobile development applications using iOS Native development toolkits (Swift, UIKit, XCode)
- Must have experience with enterprise level applications
- Strong attention to detail on the fit and finish of applications and overall quality
- Experience building functional and user-friendly UI designs
- Communication skills – will work with all levels of management and with team and build strong relationships
- Problem solving ability – Proactive and creative in managing issues and opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
