Job Title: Staff Enterprise Application Engineer
Job Type: Contract – to – Hire

About the Role
We are seeking a Staff Enterprise Application Engineer to lead the architecture, integration, support, and continuous improvement of enterprise engineering applications. This role serves as a technical leader responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and reliable solutions that support systems engineering and engineering operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, integration, and support of enterprise engineering applications, including requirements management, systems modeling, and CAD platforms.
- Support digital transformation initiatives and modernization of legacy application environments.
- Develop and maintain automation using Bash and PowerShell scripting.
- Translate engineering workflows into scalable application solutions, integrations, and process automation.
- Manage application reliability, performance, security, upgrades, patching, and incident response.
- Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to define priorities, roadmaps, testing, and release plans.
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and operational efficiency across the application portfolio.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and support resources.
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership for complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience supporting and administering enterprise engineering applications.
- Experience with systems engineering tools such as IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM), Cameo, DOORS, CAD platforms, or similar technologies.
- Hands-on experience with digital transformation and legacy system modernization.
- Proficiency in Bash and/or PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with application integrations, platform upgrades, and enterprise support (L2/L3).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IBM Rational Synergy and Change.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and Lean continuous improvement practices.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and drive adoption across teams.
